K-Line was bought by Lionel so I’m guessing I can post this!! I have a scale NYC Hudson that needs a new bulb in the headlight. Anybody know how to get the old one out??
It pulls straight out of the back. Standard grain of wheat bulb
You could remove the screw and further examine up close but I suspect that is a rubber grommet holding the bulb and blocking the light escaping around the wires.
Again, remove this screw and the headlight comes off the boiler face you you can further examine where the wires go into the headlight.
If you want a way better looking headlight, get a warm white flangeless 3mm LED. Put a 470 ohm resistor in series with one lead and you get a nice headlight that actually throws enough light out to look like a headlight!
