First off I found this thread.

https://ogrforum.com/t...n-with-tmcc-question

I like the forum because if you look deeper you might find a good start.

So, here we go:

691-PCB1-09F was my search because that is the MB in my K-line Scale Hudson. I have been running this in conventional because I never really looked inside. Plus, there was not an electro coupler on the tender. I opened the tender and found the PCB1 in there. So based on the information I found in the referenced thread, I would like to confirm that if I add an R2LC to the PCB I should get some TMCC functions? Thus an electro coupler would be plug and play?  The sound board is a SS4D-1 SSS01 so if I upgrade that board I could get better sounds?  Thanks to all who have help with my other questions over the years.

The MB you are talking about is in the tender and is the sound board.  To upgrade to full Railsounds, you'll replace the Signal Sounds board with the two RailSound boards, the Power and the Audio.

The TMCC receiver is in the locomotive, so you need to verify what configuration exists in there and what motherboard is used.  You'll also want to check to see if the handrail antenna is isolated and has a connection to the locomotive motherboard.

It is worth a look in the engine.  The Lionel Conventional but upgradeable engines used a component 103E board.  You swapped this out for a R2LC and you had a TMCC engine.

I do believe K-line used 8 and 6 pin tethers though.  The TMCC had the 8 pin and the conventional had 6, so there might be some issues integrating the whole package.
