New question...

I was able to finally find an K-Line NYC RS-3 for a decent price.

Has anyone put a K-Line (and now Williams) RS-3 body shell on a Weaver RS-3 walkway and frame?

The original K-Line NYC tooling:

Williams tooling:

This is a WBB CN shell; they use the former K-Line tooling, but you can see the detail compared to the Weaver.

Update...

the K-Line body does indeed measure out to 6'  4" wide, so there is a difference.

With that said, there are many details that need to be addressed.

In addition to what looks like ATS shoes on both sides, there's also the fact that in these "G" class locos, the steam generator exhaust and intake stacks are reversed. This tells me that the generators were installed 180* from normal, more in conjunction with the traditional Alco location, with the exhaust stack up against the windscreen.
