K-Line RS-3 with TMCC-Fan Smoke?

The K-Line did have the fan driven smoke.  The inside of the RS-3 was a very tight place to work in.

Thanks for that info Marty!  There is one for sale over in FS, and there is no model number, but I knew someone would know the answer.

Jeff. If your looking at the Pensylvania RS-3 hammer head that trainnut has it looks like a nice engine! Jim is a good guy to deal with. I wouldn't hesitate.

I've never seen a diesel with smoke that wasn't fan driven, but I suppose they exist.  Maybe someone like Weaver or Williams put a Seuthe unit in them?

I would buy it if you like it.  It is a looker.  Keep in mind, MTH did that same locomotive.

I did go ahead and buy it. I have a strange attraction to really ugly units, and with that high hood, and oh!!-- that antenna-- I thought it was pretty neat. I like anything with that big antenna system. 

 

For some reason I have the feeling that maybe these early 2000 models were made in Korea-- and the quality was real good? That is just an assumption I have made. 

 

Anyway-- thanks guys for pushing me over the edge-- hopefully you will never meet my wife!
