Kalmbach publishing is apparently calling it quits according to a post on You tube that I just watched a few minutes ago.
They publish Model Railroader magazine as well as many others. Somebody bought it and hopefully these magazines will live on.

The sale of Kalmbach Publishing became public in early May. This week, I received letters - apparently from the new owners - with "special" deals on subscriptions to three of their model railroading and "real" railroading magazines.
