Normally I avoid gimmicky thread titles, but that is a truly great song. And so as fall, a favorite time of year, rolls around, and the weather becomes nice and crisp, does anyone else starting running grain trains to move the harvest? A recent foray forward in time from my layout's usual date (1993-95) caught this BNSF "earthworm":

Anyone else care to show a grain train?

Wow, impressive and realistic depiction of "the engine that connects us." I model the 1950s so this is way, way out of my timeline, but I've seen the real trains when driving out west, and like yours, they go on forever . . .

I like BNSF alot, a bit b ecause it is Warren Buffet who I admire a lot, but mostly because it is in part the old Santa Fe RR (my favorite) -- but I would like them even more if they called the RR "SFBN" instead :-)
