Well we have started the bash on a #1060 that will go to auction soon at our auction web site at  http://lbrenterprisesllc.homes...html?_=1410703029914

The first thing that we are doing after dismantling the unit is rewiring the motor and getting it ready to wire in a DALLEE #400 electronic reversing unit.

     More as the bash continues.

Not much to them. A strong little motor though. We are going to put the DALLEE in the tender and run a tether with a QD plug in between. Probably use pickup's on the tender as well. Won't be stalling this little beauty. Also lots-O-LED's plus added weight in engine and tender.

Probably won't do the axle bushings and a "MAYBE" on the side rods. Got the payment. Thank You.

Next step was to add the 6 wire tether assembly. Also installed new brushes (cleaned & polished commutator), polished the wheels & axles, lubed all necessary gears etc. (super conductivity now). Wires hanging out of the front are for the LED headlight and LED markers.

The motor now reverses flawlessly (F-N-R-N). Now that the motor is operating on DC current it stays cool and has a lot more power.

The DALLEE #400 electronic Eunit will be in the tender and we will pick up more power there from the tender trucks plus a directional reverse light and red marker lights.

More as the project progresses (next: engine shell prep).

Here are the next steps in the bash.

We have added steps on the front and removed the bell in the back and installed a new cast metal bell in front of the smoke stack. Added sanding canisters on both sides under the cab and added a cast metal whistle in front of the cab on top. Everything has been painted black & sealed with a clear matte finish.

Next we will add the green LED markers, LED headlight lens and the new decal numbers which will be in WHITE RR Roman
