Korber Models Acquires the Assets of the Pecos Rivers line of scale model structures

MILFORD, OH  April  5, 2015 — Korber Models, makers of scale models structures and detail parts in HO and  O scale, has reached an agreement  to acquire the assets of the Pecos River structure product line.  The acquisition includes all O scale MRS and TT structure tooling, as well as existing inventory. These structures will be available at the upcoming York TCA Meet and on line at KorberModels.com.

The MRS line features classic cement and brick construction often used in steam and transition era industrial structures.  The unique injection molded modular architecture of the MRS product line allows the modeler to make a number of predefined kits, or they can simply be configured to create a one of a kind four sided or flat structure.

The TT line represents precast concrete structures often used in transition and modern era industrial and commercial structures.  The TT line similarly features unique injection molded modular architecture supporting predefined kits, or can easily be mixed and matched to create both eye catching flats and full four sided structures.  The product lines also include an array of detail parts idea to bring realism to any layout.

“We are very excited to be able to bring these quality lines of modular scale model structures in to the Korber family,” said Teresa Redmond, President of Korber Models. “These products continue the Korber tradition of realistic models that bring life to any layout.”

All the models will include newly revised documentation with detailed parts list and simple step by step instructions that make building them a snap.

These new models can be made layout ready using our Korber Komplete service which provides today's model railroaders options to include great Korber models on their layout when time or modeling skill may not be readily available.

Korber Komplete service starts with the same great Korber kit currently available, but taken to the next level with expert craftsmanship by one of experienced modelers, who assemble, paint, and optionally add lights and weather the structure.  The completed model is carefully packaged ensures that the structure received is just like it left our shop.

The MRS and TT lines with be manufactured in Ohio, continuing the long legacy of “Made in America” that has been synonymous with the Korber brand.   Models will be available for sale on the Korber Models website www.korbermodels.com  .

We look forward to see many of you at York with a bunch of new products. We are very excited about the line. Here are a few photos...

WOW that's great news.  I'm glad to see the PRB assets picked up by Korber Models.  I think you picked up an excellent line that will enhance your fine offerings.

Thanks for purchasing the assets I was worried about the future availability of those items.  I'm interested in acquiring some in the not to distant future.

Good Luck with them!

Rich, I'll add to the chorus of congratulations.  I have built two of Pecos River buildings and they do fill a unique nitch in the hobby - even with the world's worst instructions.  I look forward to seeing your good instruction sheets and items available for when I get ready to design a diesel engine house I have in mind.
