You cant see the road below but there is a house that catches on fire when the train passes, hence the police car blocking off the road. Was a gift from the guys in the club.

First I want to thank you very much for doing this.

Now this was totally spectacular, it made my Sunday night.I love the way you used the other engine's and passenger cars in the tunnels to add light. The ride was awesome I felt like you took me across Pennsylvania and back.

Patrick check your email

Thanks again, Alex

Like the J the Blue B&O is modified to throw blue sparks that match the engine , pretty cool huh!

I left my legacy remote by the tunnel while i was holding an auxilliary light. The b&o hit it and drug it for a few feet , guess the front truck rode for a while until the curved bridge, nice blue sparks huh? Thats why you seen the Powhaton Arrow dim breifly coming down the long run.

Thank you Patrick for posting the whole shebang from start to finish (well never quite finsiehd)

I keep coming back to this and getting reference and pointers, a true inspiration for all.

(sorry guys this should prb be in scenery, and I'll get in trouble, but wanted to ask the source, on pages that reference the Q )

I see in the last couple of pages (of posts) you've been busy detailing things.  What are you using for Trees ?  I especially like the really large ones you have and was just wondering (I suspect you make your own for certain situations) ... and Im just about to the ground/tree stage

Nothing like yours but here's where my progress is (sorry its on FB, but easier for sharing with friends and family)  https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10200389108513025.2199577.1314885280&type=1&l=e879b4cf18

Again an inspiration and WOW ... just WOW

Oops ... forgot to check th ToS, the email was in there, just not showing up ...
Thanks for the pointers (like all of them)

Looks like I may be making trees an buying some.. gathering materials up for that phase ... for now terraforming, yes mask ... not so much on the gloves, but Ive been working with various versions of Great Stuff for a long time, and understand the recomendaton ....  I do a lot of my 'cutting' with a blade so that part is not so bad, but I hear ya when the claw comes out !

you have no email in your profile.

Scenic express for the trees. Super trees -dont remember what the big ones are called.Your layout is looking real good.Dont breath in that foam-gloves and mask

Well its been quite a while since i posted some pics of the progress. Finally getting around to my final lap, so to say. These last 2 weeks i have spent moving 4 feet sections at a time ,really hitting everything hard with 50/50 and making sure its gonna stay put, adding people and smaller details

Last weekend I spent 12 hours just in the yard with tweezers picking out everything that wasnt black.

Anyway heres the last couple add ins.

Looks Great.

The sand mix around the factory just hardened after 2 days. I am concentrating on the yard area then gonna move to that area next. Looks good there , thanks for the suggestion to put it there.

You can see it in  the left top backround of  the second picture above

Yep, you clearly are getting to the finer details, and a fine job you are doing, Patrick!

It would be hard to believe that you (or anyone, for that matter) could continue to improve your layout given that it has always looked great, but you definitely are doing so. Beautiful work, which I hope to see again in person, in October.

Thanks for the inspiration!
