Hi,

Does anyone know how to get the front and rear lighting to work on a LCRU2 board? I try wiring according to this diagram, but i get no lighting/power when i try the front and rear light pins...the board works(forward neutral and reverse), but i get no power from those pins for lighting...am i missing something?  just hooking light up to pin and ground should work?

thanks for any info...

Key point, those are TRIAC controlled outputs. They need some resistive or capacitor load when used with LEDs compared to incandescent bulbs.

Also, the LCRU2 supports features codes that affect light outputs (example constant headlight vs directional) but also AUX2 function can turn on or off all lighting.

Again, you may want/need TMCC to set the feature code and ensure lighting is enabled using AUX2, assuming you also either used incandescent bulbs or LEDs with required capacitive or resistive load.

Also, LED lighting and that capacitor in parallel discussed in this topic https://ogrforum.com/...ector-pinout-diagram

Y the capacitor seems to get the led working...i am using a lcru2 that i swapped out of a TMCC bc it stopped receiving the signal... so the tmcc setup is not an option...

One last question...should it have directional lighting in conventional, or both front and rear lights stay on?

thanks for your help...

It does whatever it was last programmed or commanded. In other words, the feature code STILL applies to conventional operation.

0 = STEAM WITH SIGNAL SOUNDS

1 = DIESEL WITH SIGNAL SOUNDS

2 = DIESEL WITH CAB LIGHT AND SIGNAL SOUNDS

4 = STEAM WITH SMOKE

5 = DIESEL WITH STROBE LIGHT

6 = DIESEL WITH CAB LIGHT

Steam codes have constant headlights, but reverse tail light does cycle. Diesel codes are directional lighting.
