Has anyone, or can anyone post, a pinout diagram for the LCRU with connectors? I think the connectorized one is the LCRU 2.

Lionel service has the wiring diagram on the web under the first GP-9s NYC and SP.
Got it, thanks.
Did it support Electrocouplers? There is an unused two pin connector that is probably the F/R electrocoupler outputs...and common for return?
Chuck,
I just posted the proper diagrams in your buddy's thread on the Warhorse set:

The locomotive and tether are already wired for the ElectroCoupler and back-up light -- at least, that's what the diagrams show.
To add them to the tender, attach one lead from each to the appropriate wires coming from the tether, and then attach the other to ground.
Feel free to shoot me a note at papertrw@aol.com if you get stuck.

Thanks so much. I was thinking about an LED. I guess just hookone up with a 470 ohm or so. Probably a positive output from the triac.
The LCRU has a positive output from the lighting triac. It will require a .01uf capacitor across the light output to trigger the triac using just an LED.

Thanks all. I have it diagrammed now. Thanks on the .01uF. I have a thousand of them with no voltage rating marked...so I put one across the line voltage and it didn't get warm after 10 minutes...so that'll work.
I don't think you can find a .01uf cap that's rated lower than about 50 volts.
Yes...I never really thought much about it since I have worked in hundreds of volts (the Fleming valve era), and TTL, ECL, CMOS, etc. So...either more than 250 vdc, or at or less than 15 vdc, and Lionel is in-between where a 25 vdc ceramic crossed my mind.

Yes, correct. Later modular mother boards had the individual 2 pin connector for each coupler.

Thanks. I figured that pin #2 is the rear coupler and #1 the front...if you have them.
A LCRU is the Command board that connects one end to the motor via a plug connector or is hard wired. On the opposite end there are outputs for the couplers that the couplers plug into. Or you are referring to a LCRX which is a different board...
Marty
There are several versions of the LCRU, the LCRU2 has the connectors, the older LCRU has the bare pins that you connect to, many of those are soldered in.
Yes, the LCRX is a totally different board, used in dummies and other non-motorized TMCC cars.
All set, LED, .01uF and coupler work well. Thanks GGG, PAPERTRW, and GRJ for the great help.
Now I want one .
What is the "one" you want?
Oh I forgot what thread I was on...the Weathered Warhorse J from 1996. They suddenly got valuable again on ebay...maybe I can out last the sellers
This whole project was to populate the Tender with a backup light and a coupler.
