I just unpacked my Neil Young Texas Special Stationsounds Diner and it did include 2 blue Legacy 1.6 modules.

  • Does anyone know what's updated/added in 1.6?
  • What about compatibility?  Will a 1.6 base work with a 1.52 Cab-2 and vice-versa?   I know I should install them both but I will install at home first and the club base will still be 1.52

From what I found Chris is that you are able to control the grind,
Bump & clack sounds of the track.
I loaded my blue module for the remote 1st. Screen will show remote as 1.6 and base 1.52. I then tried module for the Legacy base. Came up on screen as a bad module. Called Lionel and they put a new one in the mail.
Everything still works except the ability to control the grind (wheel flange), bump & clacky clack sound. The grind sound will give you a quick headache. Looking forward for the new module so I can lower the volume on that particular sound.

Cap'n  Thanks much.

That's what I was wondering. I guess I'll upgrade the club's base and remotes in the near future.  After I do mine of course.
