Thanks MARTY for the heads up. Maybe something in store for the AUX 3 button? I will stay tuned.
I asked about Aux 3 off air and no one is telling me anything. Looks like that will stay under wraps until an appropriate time.

I'm not sure if the 1.6 modules will do much for you beyond helping with the Station Sounds diners. From what I remember it's more to do with how the diner interacts with the IR tracks, than anything else.
Software releases usually follow the pattern of X.yz where X denotes a major release, y denotes significant enhancements and/or bug fixes, and z represents very minor enhancements and/or bug fixes.
Given that Lionel has decided to assign 1.6 to this new release rather than 1.55, I would expect that it has more than just added support for the Stationsound Diners.

I agree something more going one here than just the normal upgrade, going to be interesting.

Since the upgrade is pretty painless for Legacy, there's no real reason not to upgrade after a suitable time to make sure they didn't introduce any problems. You can always go back to the 1.5x version if there's a problem.
I'll probably upgrade after a few weeks for here and at the club. Besides, I might get one of the new station sounds diners.
