Legacy Controller Button Problem

I have had my Legacy 990 for about 8 months. It has been updated to version 1.52.  i have 4 Legacy engines that operate properly when the appropriate icon such is pressed.  However i noticed recently when I press the L M and H momentum buttons a different function works.  For example when I press the H momentum button the uncoupler function operates.  When I press the L momentum button the set key activates and appears in the Lcd screen.  also the effect button appears not to be working. All other buttons function properly Such as horn, whistle, shutdown etc.   i pressed the reset icon on the controller and that had no effect.   is there anything else I can do?

Just an update:  spoke with Lionel Tech today, he suggested loosening the bottom back screws on the 990.  This had no effect.  RMA issued...Legacy mailed out today.  Guess no Legacy joy this Christmas.  Hopefully the turnaround will be fairly quick.   Story of my life....why couldn't this go South two weeks ago....

Happy ending!  I expedited shipping to Lionel.  Received a phone call from a Customer Service rep who advised they got the 990 and a Tech was looking at it as we speak.   1 hour later I received another call from Lionel who advised this problem was the oddest one they had ever seen.   They advised they would replace it with one that was almost new ( I guess Lionel doesn't have a secret cache of new 990's).  I worked out shipping arrangements and I should have my 990 in time for Christmas!
