Thinking I had a lowbattery/charging issue, I put known good batteries (tried disposable and chargeable sets) in the Cab-2 Remote came on, addressed the engine, the train started moving then the remote shut down. Unable to turn it back on again. I can only stop train by turning off track power.

Time for Lionel Repair?

Last thing you did. Check the spring tension in the remote...give it more spring tension.
