..And why would we want to do such a thing??? Because this bad boy wants to start out with AC track voltage at 7.5 / 8 volts ! Not good, many of my single motor Lionels and even a couple of the twin motored jobs do not respond well to this scenario. Jack rabbit starts and uncontrolled stops need to be eliminated. What can I do to the transformer itself, or failing that...place between the track and transformer to cut this down to a realistic start voltage. And you can just imagine what happens when I put the big Custom Trains FM Train Monster on with this pack.....move over, Sea biscuit ! Thanks ! BTW....I've been running B/U as an expedient at times, but this is not really the best!
