OK, this thread is new to me, but I have been smiling at every picture since I opened it. Great fun! I picked some photos from what I had on hand but I will do better in the future1
You guys showed lots of gondola's filled with all kinds of things, so here is a Marx one filled with groceries!
Here is an "Old Navy Guy" (could be me) train watching...maybe a little too close to the tracks!
They look great! I have some Vikings that appear to be made by the same company as your "old navy guy." I can't wait to see what else you plan on posting.
These two bears are likely train nuts wearing bear suits: I also have a BigFoot figure that needs to come out of storage for my next post!
Living in a rural area, bears sometimes unknowingly sneak up on people, not only are your scenes fun but also realistic! Let us see that Bigfoot!
Looks like Blondie will outrun Bigfoot.
She must have superhuman strength and stamina! As a lover of monster movies, every time humans come in contact with a sasquatch, the blonde tends to bite the dust first.. haha
Extra, Extra, read all about it, aliens from the Andromeda Galaxy land on playing field at Yankee Stadium:
Thanks, Leroof, who gifted the alien to me, making the above scene possible. Arnold
That poor ballplayer never saw it coming. If your alien invader was placed near a small crowd, you should play this in the background!
Orson Welles really got a lot of people with this broadcast. From my understanding/research, people believed this from the looming war clouds in 1938 and the fact that some of audience came in after the show introduction. The Munich Agreement just happened and Nazi Germany was expanding its borders, many Americans watched Europe with worry. At the same time as Welles' show was on, the "Chase and Sanborn hour," played on a different station. After the first act on the "Chase and Sanborn Hour" ended, many tuned into "War of the Worlds" after the introduction which stated that this was all fiction. Some thought it was Aliens, others a German invasion, some even thought it was a natural disaster. My grandfather told me that a few locals in Grover's Mill shot at a water tower thinking it was an alien tripod machine.
