Great idea! Spongebob Squarepants!
Love the spongebob train, Bryce. I have a number of he cars but never nabbed the engine.
Here’s a scene from my layout today - Someone tell the cop to let the bum sleep on the bench and deal with those darn graffiti vandals instead!

Sponge Bob figures are available from Nano Metal Figs.
Sponge Bob structures are also availabe at pet stores for use in aquariums.
you could use these items on your layout with your Sponge Bob Train.

Due to a shortage of crews, the New York Central has called up those on the extra board, here we see a cryptid crew change.

Another photo that I found in my files and have absolutely no idea as to why I took it :
The flatcar is a scratch-built one that I dredged out of the 'bay so I know nothing about it other than that it is all metal and two-rail.

Well I don't have any Silly things from around the layout today, but how about a "Silly Train Set"? Found this several years ago on a bottom shelf of an antique store covered in dust...cost $5 , as I train collector I just could not resist. Believe it or not, this battery powered set really does have a headlight and "choo choo" sound (awful!) and it runs on BLUE track.
Well best wishes, this is about as ridiculous as I get these days

I posted this over on the scenery forum but since it does meet the criteria of this thread I'll post it here as well.

The evil Megatron and the towering decepticon Bruticus have invaded downtown River City, luckily for us though, Optimus Prime has responded and is ready to send them back to Cybertron!
Jokes aside, the Transformers actually do blend in really well with regular O gauge vehicles in their vehicle modes, the only thing that gives away it's really a robot is the symbols.

Don, I have a very similar set but in the "Eggliner" scheme, I'll have to pull it out as Easter is fast approaching.

Wow! That building must be built well above code if it can support a transformer on it's roof!
That could be a good scavenger hunt idea: Find all of the transformers in vehicle mode and win a prize (candy, toy, etc)
Bryce
Oscale Trains Lover : "Eggliner" - now that's one I would like to see Thanks for the comment, that Silly train set (SMURFS) after many years of taking up space in my storage cabinet went to my wife's antique booth and sold almost over night (also priced at $5) so I guess there are folks who just like the "blue people" . But the kids and I had fun with it for awhile.

Depending on the size, you can fit at least 2 on the MTH premier TOFC cars. I even have a few that turn into planes that I like to place on the Lionel missile launcher cars as a "mobile launch ramp" type thing. The firing mechanism doesn't work in that form but it's still something cool for the public to see.

The other day while I was cleaning the layout I Randomly grabbed Piggyback Pete and his truck he had fell out of his truck so I grabbed him and the truck and set them aside when I went to pick him and the truck back up this is what I saw and had to take a pic of it and post it here. Some how I sat them down this way.

I'm glad that you liked it Bryce, thanks for the input. Did you check out the earlier articles on the citizen of Warrenville while on the site?
As to the Monks, believe it or not, I got them at Hobby Lobby. I also purchased the Native Americans there.

John,
Yes! I have checked out all of your articles on the Warrenville website. I really like Nessie visiting the lake and Cape Warrenville.
Thank you for the info on the monks!

Sweet😜
This is a fun topic, and I am enjoying all the posts.
Here’s a photo from our small 4’ x 4’ layout which has my first train set I got for Christmas in 1956 (Lionel 1615 loco and her work train) and a duplicate of the Lionel 520 electric motor and its cars that my little brother received. The layout mainly represents an 027 layout of the 1956 era.
Here, two workers pause while working on buried power cables near the rails as the 520 electric motor passes with its freight cars.

Don,
I have not forgot! Here is one of my sets still sealed in the packaging! They came either with a purple engine and red caboose or are a clue engine and a green caboose. There are few floating around the internet....

Well here's one from my "kitchen table" layout. Given the proliferation of candy on Easter, its very appropriate that the Hershey's candy trolley is letting off its customers at the Hershey's candy store. YUM! all those chocolate bunnies!
Best wishes, have a great week.
