Is their a way to have the lights on any mth engine work like Lionel were the cab light turns off and the ditch lights come on

As far as I know, only the new PS3 engines employ "Rule 17" lighting.
I have one so far, and it has that type lighting.
All the lights are bright white LED's, instead of the older yellowish white bulbs.
At rest, the headlight is dim, interior light is on, ditch lights are off.
At the first notch of the thumb wheel, the headlight comes on bright, the interior light goes off, and the ditch lights come on.
Since this lighting is part of the PS3 sound set, I don't imagine it can be used for PS2 engines.
