If you bought the most recent version it is Lionchief 2.0+. The reviews have been quite good. I have one and have run it a bit, quite good.

I love my LC+2.0 Big Boy. I just pre-ordered 2x of the LC+2.0 Amtrak Genesis locos from the 2021 V2 catalog as well. I have a few Legacy locos, but I think LC+2.0 is a great intersection of features and affordability.
i don't have any lc2.0 engines yet but i deeply desire one as i've heard they are amazing
LionChief 's wireless approach was Lionel's method of signalling to us where model train control systems are going long term. This was backed up by Menard's new loco which is also wireless. With the distinct possibility of no DCS, we would then be currently down to two widely used track based signal systems, TMCC/Legacy and DCC. Both of these systems have a lot of users and offer an abundance of features, but keep an open mind for what is coming next.
What's coming next? Don't know; maybe an app for an Apple Watch or maybe a direct link to my cerebal cortex? Who knows?
