My 4 year old started with a humble Lionchief Polar Express set that has now evolved into a 5x9 layout that can run up to 3 trains.  Unfornatley, the Polar Express locomotive has developed a terrible smell from the smoke unit (not burnt plastic, just too many different brands/scents/etc.  My son loves it, and it sees around 2 hours a day (or longer) usage.  Is it possible to "re-wick" the smoke unit, or is it a sealed unit that must be replaced all-together?  My wife hates the smell of it, and it is quite the smoker.  It has been about a month since the switch, and the Polar Express produces a half rootbeer/half lionel/half MTH Christmas scent.   We have since switched all our locos to JR Super Steam RootBeer scent, and the wife approves.

Thanks for any and all input, if you can re-wick it, could you point me in the direction of where to find the correct part?

My 4 year old and I thank you!
