Hey guys,
I'm filming a review for the Lionchief Plus NYC Mikado. Is this model based on a heavy or light Mikado? Lionel isn't specific in the description. As this is an O-27 style engine I don't think it really matters that much, but I'd like to know just for the sake of being accurate in the review.

I Believe that the Lionel Mikado jr. is LOOSELY based on thre USRA light Mikado.

I concur - definitely USRA Light prototype/inspiration.
Also, hasn't this boiler/tender body been used in some of Lionel's S-scale offerings? I have never had my hands on either this O-gauge loco or any Lionel S-scale product for a comparison. Not sure of the size of this Lionchief loco.
