i am trying to connect the lionel 153ir controller to aux power to activate a lionel semaphore-the semaphore lights up and activates but when the arm comes into the down position the light shuts off i must have the wires connected wrong any suggestions or is there a correct wiring diagram that describes the process-the manual is not clear in which of the four connections from the controller to the accessory is correct-thanks

The instructions for wiring the semaphore is incorrect. You need to hook the lights the (always on) power connection (one closest to the interior on the terminal connector), next the ground wire (next inline on the terminal)and finally the wire that operates the semaphore to "NO" normally open. I did mine by trial and error figuring what wire does what. you will end up with no wire attached to the last terminal connection (outboard location).
Sorry I do not remember the color of the wires, I do not have the opportunity to go look right now.

I think I remember the wire colors for the semaphore
red= power, black = grnd & white = "NO"
