lionel 18245 pennsylvania pa diesels

i have a set of 18245 pa lionel diesels from 2000 when you run them in tmcc they run fine.

but when you run them in conventional they run slow in 15 to 18 volts and run very erratic.

any ideas I think it might be the radio receiver board also there is no antenna wire in this unit.

please email me back with information on how to repair these engines. thanks ken v
