Picked up some 2343 chassis with beater cabs last year at a gun show near Asheville. Put the cabs on the bay and let them go cheap. The chassis were dirty but appeared to be in good shape so I located a set of the replacement cabs from the Conventional Classics some years ago and finally got around to mating them together tonight at the club meeting. Had to grind off the body clips at the rear and cut out the volume pot under a fan to get them to set correctly upon the postwar chassis. Next step will be to clean and apply a light coat of silver to the chassis to brighten them up a bit.
Lubed up the motors and she ran right off. After a few minutes to warm up she simply purred!
