I recently got a Lionel legacy 84240 3 Truck Shay and have a question about where to add the smoke fluid for the whistle steam effect. The manual says there is only one smoke unit at the main stack. But when you look at the parts breakdown at the Lionel support page for the engine there are two separate smoke units. This makes more sense because the distance between the main stack and whistle is large. It reminds me of the Lionel legacy H-10 where you add smoke fluid directly into the whistle steam hole. So before I make a mess, does anyone know the correct location of adding smoke fluid to the whistle steam?
