Tried to DCS to run engine using a 40-400 showed a short. The engine was smoking by the top vents now it will not do any thing not even conventional. Would like to have it repaired. Have a local drop of point. where does it go from there? Back to lionel for repair? Help!

MTH 30-4240-1 The one I replaced with a new one. My Other is a Lionel believed I cooked the board. Needs to be checked then repaired, 6-18268 SD-90 2000 series Local is Thunder Road Hobby is a drop off place to send out for repair. Will have to check with them where it goes from there. Unless you do John? Please advise
I wouldn't be able to get to it until a few weeks into the New Year, that may be a factor. Nothing in the SD-90 that should be a challenge, I have all the boards for that vintage TMCC in stock.
