Hi all, can anyone describe how this works? Does the 6-84373 automatically stop the trolley/loco when it occupies that track segment or does the operator have to do that? Once the power is restored will the e unit in a MTH subway train cycle and the trolley reverse? thanks

This piece is only meant for the bump-n-go trolleys. It will cycle the e unit on a conventional layout. Considering the isolated section is about 13 inches, it’s possible that the engines might not stop, especially if it’s got some momentum.
OK, I see. So since it is insulated does the track on both sides of this piece need to have power feeders to it, or just on one side?
Here is the manual. It may help answer your questions. From what it says you just add it to the layout. No special wiring.
There is no special wiring. I have one for bump and go and it is a world of fun. It stops and starts the trolley.
Guys, thank you very much. The internet gods weren't smiling on me today. it took two different browsers to get that manual downloaded. Thanks again.
