If that's the 1950 model and is in decent shape, that's a typical retail price, at least on the Bay and in the publications of the TCA and LCCA. In fact, that may be a low price, for an antique store. I just picked up the 1950 version and the correct tender as part of a collection, and paid less, but it needs major work. However, its always been on my bucket list, so I'm pleased.

You always do better at York. There were good prices on these last October.
No question about it, the 773 shown in the original post is the 1964-1966 version without the crosshead guide and also without the 2426 Tender. In my way of thinking the $1100 price tag is a bit rich but then again it is an antique store as Jay Jay points out.
Don't sweat it, Jack, it's overpriced, by about $250-$300.
