I have the Albert Hall engine which continually derails on my O 31 tubular track. There is an older video wherein Mike Reagan shows how to correct this problem with a Hogwarts engine which is essentially the same as Albert Hall. However, none of my variations to Mr Reagan's fix are helping. What am I missing? Thanks in advance.

31 is too tight for the Albert Hall, St. Nicolas, of Harry Potter.
You can torture the front truck a bit to loosen up, but 036 is what it works on at a minimum.
The Hogwarts train is built O36 curves. Pretty sure the Albert Hall is the same.
The catalog entries for Hogwarts and Albert Hall state an O 31 curve.
That was an error. Lionel sent a retraction out to dealers.

Thanks to all who set me straight on this curve.
FWIW, I tried to run the Hogwart's locomotive on O31, no go at all! I even took a little material off the cylinders to allow more swing of the front pilot, still no go. It simply didn't want to do O31. It barely does O36, and if you look closely, the pilot truck is usually either REAL CLOSE or actually touching the frame.
Yes. Clearances / min curve were thrown out the window on these....
I just tested this engine on a loop of O 36 Fastrack. Runs well. Smokes like an MTH. Best part is the whistle which reminds me of early Hitchcock films. Alfred, not Howard. Thanks again to all who responded.
I'm surprised it smokes like an MTH with a mechanical puffer. Now, here's the Hogwarts that really DOES smoke like an MTH, it has the MTH smoke unit!
