Hey folks, I’m here to share the good news that the new Lionel B60 bagagge cars have arrived at the dealers! I picked mine up yesterday, and I’m really impressived with the detail. The paint job is clear and crisp, and looks great with a whole train. Something really cool is that both sides of the car have lighted marker lights, and there is a toggle switch under the car to switch between which set of markers is on. Great job Lionel!

Looks good Max.
Do you have any MTH cars to match the color to?
Max;
Looks sharp. Do you know if they will match the recent Lionel 21” Pennsy Broadway Limited cars (specifically in terms of color)???
Thanks.

Now that is neat. Can't wait to get mine.
I wonder how often a B60 was at the end of a train (mail, express, etc.). The pictures I've seen shows a caboose modded for high speed or a P70, both used to carry support crew members/conductor. Having a B60 at the end would give me another option.
Outside looks nice and thanks for posting. I think the catalogue said they would be "highly detailed?" If so, are the interiors set up like a baggage car (maybe even some compartments/shelves and baggage? If so, can you post photos of the interior?
what is the lionel number?

Max, if you will, how long are these? Lionel cataloged them as around 11-inches long "WAY" short for a B60. I requested clarification to Lionel three times never getting a reply. Sure wanted to buy a few but not if TOO short.

These are a 60 foot weaver design. I run my LIRR all the time. LEDs on one end on Weaver's. Nice model! I see Lionel added leds on both ends and an interior light. Not sure why anyone would need LEDs or lights on these being on the front end of train? Never seen a lighted LIRR in real operation. lights just add unnecessary roller drag.
I have 5 Weaver B60s which these are based on and am very happy with them. Really nice mixed with Atlas X29 express boxcars, MTH R50b express reefers and GGD B70s followed by a GGD P70 rider coach or your choice of PRR cabin for an M&E train.
Do the Lionel cars come with mounting pads for Kadee couplers for 2 rail conversion?

There was a forum discussion a while back that determined the catalog length (11") was wrong. I think Lionel chimed in. The cars are the old Weaver mold and are 15" long.
Looks pretty nice. I may pick up one for an interchange car on my Santa Fe Fast Mail Express.

Thanks Ron, did not see that discussion. I sent three request to "Ask Us" with mot a peep. Sure is different since Mike left!
Well the good thing is I save at least $600.00.
Ron
Weaver car.
About the same time Weaver did a fictious RPO.
