I want to load (create) the new Cab2-v1.74 on it to update my Cab 2 remote. The question is ... Will the module retain the v1.72 in addition to the v1.74 or will it write over the v1.72? If it retains the v1.72 will it give me the option of either file when I go to update the Cad 2 Remote?

It over writes it. You can over write with any version you have either for the Base or Cab2. If you want to go back you will have to put 1.72 back on it.
Thank you for the clarification. Will the Base 1.60 file (I have on the module) be retained when I load the Cab 1.74 to the module?

No. Every time you write to the module it over writes anything that is on it. Just make sure you retain the files on your PC that are used to create the module.
Good thing is even if you had to do a base and Cab2 upgrade, you can make the base module first and update it and then use the same module to make the Cab2 module and update it.
Got it! Again thanks for the help and clarification!
I keep all the old versions.
One thing I don't know if has been consolidated is the Read.Me in each of these describing the changes. A useful document would be all the changes as occasionally they affect running in unexpected ways if you're not aware of them.
