Hello, I recently fried one of my ES44ACS. The engine stank like smoke. Smoke came out of the RADIATOR HOUSING when I removed it. Whenever the engine is on the track it shorts the track and turns off the power and a red light appears on my TMCC Direct Lockon. This happened because the ES44AC was pushing against a SD90MAC because the ES44 was faster. Does anyone know how easy it’ll be to repair and which part is likely damaged. I was thinking either #11,#12,#29 was damaged but not sure. Anyone have advice or knowledge on which part to replace?

Diego,
What's Lionel's product number? We need more info on #11, 12, and 29 in order to answer your question.

First step is a physical examination. Since you cooked something, a close physical examination should allow you to determine which is cooked, my guess is #29, the RCMC.

I notice under your name it says authorized lionel dealer. If I order the part would you be able to put it in if I pay for labor?
I can procure the part and put it in. OTOH, depending on where you are, it might be cheaper to find a local shop. Whoever does the repair, I'd let them supply the part, that way there's no question about warranty if there's a problem.
