i HAVE A LH FAST TRACK SWITCH THAT CHANGES DIRECTION EACH TIME A TRAIN PASSES. DOES ANYONE HAVE A REASON FOR THIS?

Usually electrical noise. I find that opening them up and soldering all the crimped track connections will frequently fix issues like this.
Jazzman, Do the trains your running have tethers?
My railking proto 2 F-3's had the tether port on the lead engine installed upside down so that the soldered wires hung down, after a period of time, the insulation wore thin and the wires would contact my fastrack switch frog, and the train would derail. I turned the tether ports 180 degrees and have not had a problem since.
thanks for the replies. I think it is switch specific since the other switches on the layout are not affected. I am going to try and open it up.
