I purchased this new genset recently. I decided on Christmas Eve to set it on the track and get it running. I programmed the engine number in the Legacy remote and the engine horn sounded. When I flip the switch back to run on the engine, the engine starts up, but does not move. You can hear the engine RPM increasing but no movement of the engine. At the same time the cab light blinks.
According to the last page in the Lionel booklet, for 1 blink, it is saying the Main drive motor stalled. I tried to reset the engine twice with the Legacy remote, I get the same blinking light and no engine movement.
I assume this new engine has to go in for repair to the dealer I had purchased it from?
Is there anything else I can try to get the engine to move?
