I recently aquired a Lionel GP-30, 6-28217, and went to test it with a Lionel cw80 transformer. At first, it took right off, but when I went to change directions in reverse, it would only creep along. Changed directions to forwards again, and it just crept along like in reverse. At first I thought that it might be the transformer, but I put a different engine on the track, and it worked flawlessly. So now I waited a couple of minutes and tried again, and it took right off in forwards again, no problem. Went to reverse again, and right back tothe creeping mode. This engine is command equipped, with railsounds, towercom, and crew talk. Whistle and bell work great. Did not have a battery in it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Steve
