Lionel H-7 C&O articulated won't navigate through Ross switches

Today I put a new Lionel C&O 2-8-8-2 H-7 articulated on the track(Gargraves). It ran about 10 feet where it then encountered a basic Ross switch. The pony truck and the front drivers went through the switch fine, but the rear drivers keep derailing. It is as though the fireman's side of the engine rises up just before it derails. Inspected the rollers, trailing truck motion and could find nothing. Any thoughts or similar experiences with either the C&O or the UP version of this beautiful engine?

Mine runs thru the basic and O72 and O72/O96 curved Ross switches without any problems.

Check to make sure the rear drivers are not hanging up on something.

As a matter of fact the lead flanged wheels of the rear engine do not appear to touch the track while the rear set of wheels with the traction tires do make contact with the rails. What could keep the front wheels of the rear engine from contacting the rails?

I had this trouble once but I have fastback.But same exact thing.Try shimming the switch track up on one of the sides even if the switch track seems level.It solved my problem.Nick
