I just viewed the video for the Alaska RS-11 since I have one on order.

Thanks a bunch Allan! I had forgotten that Lionel had made an instructional video on it already. Thanks again!

Well, some care about such specifics (more power to them, I guess), but I'm one of those guys who just enjoys--and buys--pretty much whatever is produced for my favorite road names.  Doesn't matter one bit to me if AAR never had RS11s.  It's a neat looking unit and Legacy equipped, so it's one I'll be picking up as soon as it reaches my dealer's shop.

Here, by the way, is a link to the AAR's all-time roster:

Thanks for sharing! I really like your carpet layout. It is really cool!

I am surprised you don't have Legacy yet!

Thank you very much, Mike.

Soon.  I keep holding off on getting the system.  Every time I save for the Legacy base, I end up finding something else to buy, but now that I have a few Legacy engines I really want it.

prrhorseshoecurve,

Sadly there are no lights or pick-up rollers in the dummy unit.

Mark,

1) The gap isn't bad...looks good to me. When I get home, I'll post a close-up photo, so you can judge for yourself.

2) The sound is only cutting out when I switch direction conventionally. I did not install a battery in the diesel.
