Try powering the base up before you power the track.

If the base is plugged into a power strip try plugging it directly into the wall. Must be a 3 prong grounded outlet with no adapters.

Yea, It's odd, I switched the engines to program and it has no effect, they just take off.  All the command control switches quit working to. It's like the base and controller aren,t on line all of a sudden. I tried to figure it out by looking at the owners manual but couldn't find anything. I was going to re-program it, but I have two blue and two white modules and no explanation in the manual of which one to use. Don't even know if that's the problem. I thank you for your reply though.    Shylo

To GUNRUNNERJOHN,   Thank You, I swapped another base that I had into the system and WOW! Everything's back to normal, Train's are running again, and I am happy for your help.                                                                              Thank You,  Shylo
