Any thoughts so far on Lionel's Lionchief Plus system? Anyone heard of any new models or roadnames coming out in the future?

Big thread already underway on this Gandydancer. Lot of positive comments. You can find it by searching.
I just received my first LionChief Plus yesterday. Leading the Madison cars around my display the 4/6/4 NYC Hudson is a great mid level engine. A few weeks earlier I purchased the Polar Express LionChief RTR set and I'm very happy with it also.
My hopes are that Lionel will revisit the Mighty Sound of Steam Engines from the MPC era with LionCheif Plus engines; Milwaukee Special, Broadway Limited, Southern Crescent, Blue Comet, Chicago & Alton, and so on and so forth... I'd upgrade all my engines with LionChief Plus if they offer them. If they don't I may just have to figure out how to swap the shells from what they do offer in the future.
Matthew B,
Unfortunately, I don't think the MPC era shells will fit on LionChief or LionChief + chassis. The shells used for the LC+ steamers are based on tooling Lionel had made in the 1990s.
However, I like your idea of replacing my Southern Crescent, Blue Comet and the other small Hudson versions with LC+ models using those shells.

I wonder if the LC Lionel Scout locomotive chassis will accept the classic MPC era 4-4-2 shells.
