Lionel PRR scrap yard-Blue led simulating torch doesn't light

Just installed the Lionel Scrap Yard. All figures move fine, but the blue led simulating a welding torch does not light up. Any suggestions on what to do next? Pretty disappointing. Nice accessory but the flashing led is the highlight.

Try upping the voltage a bit. It worked for me.
