Remote system name has changed from "Trainchief" to "LionChief Remote Control System"
BNSF Maxi-Stack set engine will be a GP-38 and NOT a SD-38 as pictured and have a 4 wheel truck instead.
These are the main corrections.

Where is the link on Lionel's website?
Thank you, Charlie.
I picked mine up locally in VA last night.
LionChief sounds more "Lionel".
Charlie.......I may be missing something obvious, but why the price difference between the New York Central and Canadian Pacific RTR sets......and why the $10 difference in the 2 pack passenger car add-ons?

Did you pick it up in Richmond? Where are they available?
Chesterfield Hobbies in Midlothian.
Peter
We noticed that also. Prices across the board have risen

If I had to guess(which is all I'm doing), I'd bet the Officially Licensed by MTA and GCT 100th Anniversary logos contribute to the NYC Grand Central set costing more than the CP.

Not yet a correction in the catalogue, but I think that it probably should be….. Has anyone else noticed that the locomotive in the new Polar Express set is described as having a 2-8-24 wheel arrangement! I'm still going to buy one, even if this is an error.
The 2-8-24 was a Bulgarian tank engine with a very large bunker.
Thanks for the info Charlie, and the details as always!
Not only prices up but looks like Lionel removed 2 of the 10" straights from the LionChief starter sets.

OH BOY !! I just can't wait to get the new "Battle Train"
I think somebody in IT has too much time on their hands.

I can only guess that might be a way of attracting more kids to the hobby by making trains more like a video game. I'd be willing to bet if the idea took off we could see train sets being modeled after the trains seen in the video. Who knows? Throw it out and see if it sticks.
I dunno, Chris. It might be something Gomez Addams would enjoy. There's other video games that run railroads without death & destruction or whatever this thing has going on.
Not having seen any of the content of the "Battle train" game If it takes after all the other violent video games out there just using trains then the whole idea of promoting the toy train hobby to a younger generation via this particular game is a mute point for sure!
I do think this new remote system and the additional remote engines to the Thomas series is a great idea for children/grand children to just have fun running on the same track and making their own stories and scenarios! I have the remote Thomas and it runs great and is a fun little engine to run! As far as the other Thomas engines with remotes I will probably get the others for Thomas to have some friends. My grand children will love them"When their born" In the mean time I'll be in the testing stages. At least that's what I'll tell my wife!!
Me;grow up?? Forget about it!!
Anyone notice how the Major League Baseball sets mention "each set includes the super detailed Berkshire steam locomotive No. 726 pulling a tender, two coaches and an observation car". Certainly the loco looks more like the Baby Berkshire than a 726.
