Hi,

I would like to replace the 6 grain of wheat lamps in my Lionel SD-70  # 6-28227 for LEDs (the pair of lamps for the CAB, NUMBER BOARD and DITCH LIGHTS).

I made a working LED circuit which run from 0-18V AC  but before clipping any wire in the loco I would like to know exactly how the lamps are driven in these SD-70 model.

I assume they are all powered by the track voltage wich is  max 18V AC ?

I would also like to know if they operate the same in conventional and TMCC mode.

Thanks
