Bought a used Lionel SD70 Ace (6-28281). I knew that the body was a bit rough, because it looks like something was dropped on it. When I got the body off I found some rather disturbing evidence that this engine may have been dropped in the past. The frame looked bent and the front truck frames are hitting the under side of the frame. So I completely disassembled the engine down to the bare frame. I laid it on my desk and then on a flat surface like my cast iron table saw and found that the frame was bent up about 1/4" on the front end. I also noticed that it looks as if someone in the past used a pair of pliers to bent up the side of the frame where the body mount screws go.

So, I know the frame itself is supposed to be perfectly flat. But are the screw holes supposed to be flat? Cause I bent them back into place.
