FWIW I think that there is more than shipping delays at play - more likely a backlog at the factory or some parts shortage because the expected arrival time of some models catalogued in 2014 has been pushed back months. I have in mind in particular the Legacy cranes and boom cars. If you've ever opened up one of the TMCC cranes or looked at the parts diagrams for them you'll know what a complicated mechanism they have, any major part of which might be held up in the supply stream.

 

P.S. I totally agree with Brian (PTC) about Charlie Nassau's info.

Count on it.   The port work slow-down is likely a VERY small part of the delays surrounding our toy trains.  Although it's gotten a lot of headlines lately, the importers can't use that as THE reason why products are delayed.  (But I'm sure they'll try.  )
