I'm wiring lights in a small village area. The LED lights have the hot wire to the bulb base and the ground to the threaded area. I picked up 3 Lionel street lights and the wires come out the bottom and they are identical. Does it matter which wire is connected to my positive terminal block and which is connected to the negative terminal block, as these bulbs are traditional types and will draw more current. They will be on separate terminal blocks from the LED lights, but I wanted to wire them to the same transformer hot and ground posts as the others.

Appreciate any input. If all else fails, I can wire them to a different transformer(ZW), which has an open post but that one already has a lot on the other 3 handles.

Very carefully!

Seriously, I make a small gap in the insulation of the bus wire and take about 3/4” of insulation of the street light wires. I wrap the light wires around the gap in the bus and put a small dab of liquid insulation on the connection.

If by chance you have a some lights close together you can join the light wires together before joining them to the bus.

Tedious work.
