Hi folks, here's my latest review. I hope you enjoy it. Not the most detailed or prototypical model ever, but it's fun nonetheless.
Thanks,

Very nice engine. Keep up the great work!
Nice video & review.
Great Review Eric!
Question, can you confirm the min curves? I know the catalog says O-31, but on Lionel's website it's listed as O-42/O-54 recommended. I wanted to get one until I saw that as I wanted a nice locomotive for O-36.
I'm all diesel, but these small steamers are starting to really get my attention. Hmmm...the engineer's voice sounds very familiar, could that be someone we know from around here somewhere?
Thanks for another nice review.
Nice review, once again, Eric. Hafta admit that I would be tempted to buy that engine, but I do have an earlier Lionel Ten-Wheeler of a completely different design. Mine, which is lettered for Chicago and Northwestern is actually a fairly correct model of an engine from the "Omaha" road, a subsidiary C&NW line. The headlight on my 4-6-0 is located on top of the boiler.
I like to use mine with a set of the Atlas, 60' passenger cars, which were also C&NW and are correct in that "shorty" 15" long configuration. Mine doesn't have Legacy but it does have a nice sounding TMCC whistle which sounds pretty convincing, too.

Nice review!! What protoype is this model based on?
Another great review Eric! Lionel did a nice job on this little engine. And I do
Like this whistle as well! Again Thanks for sharing it with us!
Nice little engine, as usual, the crew talk and sound effects leave me cold. I was surprised at the price-I pegged it to be about $500 but I am not in to buying the new stuff. Looks like a fun engine, though.
What protoype is this model based on?
The Lionel 4-6-0 is based on the New York Central Class F-12e ten wheeler. Much like the Pennsy G5, the NYC F-12s were large for a ten wheeler and built/rebuilt for commuter service after Pacifics had already become the premier long haul passenger locomotives.
I would like Big L to do a B&M version with Legacy. That would get my attention.
I have the first release and its like driving a Porsche. You can feel the excitement all over again.
Nice review and video again ERIC !!! I have the first issued Legacy in the NYC and like it but really like the CN one too. I do enjoy the crew talk brings you right into the cab !!!!
Another great review. Thanks for the review, now I am going get me one.
