I recently purchased a TMCC PRR M1A and I have a question regarding the switch on the tender.  The switch says rail or signal and I'm not sure what to set it at when running in TMCC.  It's set at rail right now and the TMCC works.  If any can provide help, I would greatly appreciate it.  I have not open the tender up to see if there is a 9 volt battery installed.

Thanks!

That's for "Rail" sounds or "Signal" sounds.

Railsounds is the full package i.e. chuff, crewtalk etc.

Signal sounds is just whistle and bell.

If your running tmcc a battery is not necessary unless your experiencing sound dropouts over turnouts.

The 9v battery option is for that I just mentioned and to keep the sounds on during g direction changes if you were operating it conventionally.

Agrazprr,

The TMCC M1a was also one of my first command control scale engines. You are correct the sounds are terrific. Mine has been upgraded to four chuffs per revolution, GRR Super Cuff board and in my opinion holds its own to the Legacy versions. The upgrades were down by Alex M
