i saw that track plan a long time ago and thought i saved it to my hard drive but i cant find it.does anyone have that track plan or know where it can be had.
not sure if the 4 switches used were O-22 or something else.

Basic O figure 8 with four 022 switches and a 90-degree crossing. Straights are standard 10", curves are O-31. Did you have something more complicated in mind?
just what i needed jerry.sure do thank you.i had this track plan when i was using fastrack O-36 but have fell in love with the O22 switches from lionel.
hopefully i won't have any problems using the O-22's switches as the fastrack switches were bullet proof.

As long as they're properly maintained, 022 switches should give you no problems. The trains will "bounce" through them a little more, but they work well and should give you years of service.
Note: Try to stick with original postwar 022's. The later "remakes" can be problematic and require some work to get them to operate well.
i have two of the later issues of the 022 and i have them in the track plan already.hopefully they'll be ok but i can always take out them and replace them with the pw style if problems do pop up.

As previously stated, you'll want to do a basic "PM" on the 022 switches before you put them into service.
have never had one apart gunrunner.will have to do that today.really dont know what to look for when i do have it apart, other than inspecting the sliding parts of the switch.
just hoping that i have no trouble when running trains through the curved portion of the switch.
Very cool! Like your previous setup, one of my four lines is in this configuration with Fastrack, with an additional two short sidings coming off the inside of the loops. I maintain it's one of the most exciting designs you can do in a small space. I feel like every layout I ever build will have this in there somewhere!
its nice ams to be able to change directions at will with that track plan.of course its possible to use just 2 switches and configure it as a loop to loop which i've done in the past also.
the plan fits nicely on my one of my 4x8 table's.now i just need to find some more pw O22's.
