It seems lionel made a foam boat in the 60's that goes in a tube that you build in your yard. Beside trains, boats are another hobby of mine. Does anyone have a picture of one of these.

The Train Room, in Hagerstown Md has one. It is the only one I have ever seen.
If you look through their virtual tour, the boat can be seen.
The Train Room has a Lionel train museum attached to the store.
`Thank you so much
I found an interesting newspaper ad for these,

I had no idea that Lionel ever produced anything like these. You didn't have to build a tube in your yard, these could run in a pool or even a small lake. These had full steering and FWD/REV control. With a 4 MPH speed, better not use these anywhere there is a current.
The ad didn't say, does anyone know, did these use a shrouded prop?, Even back then I can't imagine an open prop, but then again, those were Definitely Different times.

It would be so cool to see one work.
The boat could only carry a maximum of fifty pounds.
Apparently there were accessory "outriggers" that extended its capacity.
I think the picture that Rob posted is the boat in The Train Room's display.
